About the EventKaddy Team

EventKaddy was founded by a team of conference-industry veterans motivated by a vision of using the latest mobile technology to transform the way attendees, exhibitors, and organizers interact at conferences—while simultaneously reducing the significant impact that conferences have on the environment.

EventKaddy is a subsidiary of Soma Media Inc., which for nearly a decade has specialized in the high-quality recording and  distribution of conference presentations through various media, including the web, DVD-ROM, and now—using the EventKaddy platform—mobile devices.

The core EventKaddy team consists of Romy Randev and David Bergevin, co-founders of Soma Media; and Jamie Herring, a seasoned marketing director with a Ph.D. (ABD) from Cornell University focused on communications and social networking technology.  Together, this team is able to pursue the EventKaddy vision with a breadth and depth of skills and experience that is unmatched by any company providing mobile solutions to the conference industry.
